Plenty to do!
Winter in Old Orchard Beach is quiet but not lacking in things to do! Right now there's plenty of snow on the beach so bring your cross country skis or snowshoes. If you're bringing children you can pull them across the snowy beach on a sled. Be creative! The surfers are out when the waves are big enough, yes, even in the winter!
There are some really great restaurants open, plenty within walking distance; JJ's Eatery Too, Strike Zone, Beach Bagel, and The Brunswick restaurant is open Th-Sunday.
Just a few minutes drive away is Good Thyme Cafe, Bayley's Seafood, & Duffy's Tavern (to name just a few!).
Travel 20 minutes to Portland, Saco or Biddeford and the list is endless!
At least 7 local bars are within 5 minutes walking distance! Live bands and karoake can be found at the GFB Scottish Pub, acoustic music at JJ's Eatery Too and Uptown O'Leary's Tap, live bands downstairs at the Brunswick on Thursday, Friday & Saturday, and pool tables at The Whaler & GFB.
There are many antique shops open and you could spend a whole day exploring Barnful Antique &Curiosities, Gurley Antiques Gallery, Centervale Farm Antiques and more!
Visit Libbey's Chocolate Shop and see Lenny the 600 pound chocolate moose!
Take a drive to the lighthouses and avoid the summer crowds! Nubble Lighthouse in York, Portland Head Light in Cape Elizabeth at the Fort Williams Park, Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse and Bug Light in Portland.
If you're looking for outdoor activities there's a great hiking trail at Cascade Falls. Also, we are just an hour away from the White Mountains and all of their ski areas!
In the condo relax and enjoy the amazing view. The sunrises are straight out the living room sliding glass doors this time of year so you can enjoy them from the couch. The waves and sky are ever changing and provide hours of entertainment.
